Women’s & Girls’ Soccer

Sundays, December 7th - February 22nd, 2015 ,2-4pm
Soccer develops agility, speed and stamina, and also teaches the importance of teamwork even in the heart of the winter. Whether you are an aspiring athlete, trying to stay warm or simply want to try a new sport, all are welcome to participate in Women’s and Girls’ Soccer at the Battery Park City Ball Fields this winter.

 

Winter Afterschool Sports & Games

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, December 1st-February 27th, 3:30pm-5:00pm. 

Don’t stay cooped up this winter! Come out and warm up with Winter Afterschool Sports & Games at the Battery Park City Ball Fields! Soccer, flag-football, hockey, and more! Enjoy organized fun led by Parks Programming Leaders or play on your own.

Equipment provided. For ages 7 and older.

Rockefeller Park House

Need something to do on Veteran’s Day? Come to the Rockefeller Park House.

Rent a variety of recreation supplies. Present photo ID to borrow toys, books, and games. Play pool, ping pong, and other games for all ages at the Park House.

Also, the Battery Park City Ballfields are open from 11-3pm for free play.

Advanced Beginner Swimming Lessons for Ages 6-Adult

This ten-class series is held on each Sunday from September 28 through December 7, 2014, 1:45-2:30pm. This class is open to swimmers ages 6 and up. Practice basic strokes and learn important new skills such as butterfly kicking on back and front, freestyle touch-ups and the backstroke. All swimmers will need to bring a towel, a swim cap, goggles and a lock. PLEASE NOTE: There is still room in this series.  You may join the class and pay on a pro-rated basis.  If interested, please call 646-210-4292 to register today!

Advanced Group Swimming Lessons for Ages 6-Adult

This ten-class series is held on each Sunday from September 28 through December 7, 3:15-4:00 pm. This class is open to swimmers ages 6 and up. Learn advanced skills such as the turns that link the four competitive strokes and the butterfly. All swimmers will need to bring a towel, a swim cap, goggles and a lock.    PLEASE NOTE: There is still room in this series.  You may join the class and pay on a pro-rated basis.  If interested, please call 646-210-4292 to register today!

Intermediate Group Swimming Lessons for Ages 6-Adult

This ten-class series is held on each Sunday from September 28 through December 7, 2014, 2:30-3:15 pm. This class is open to swimmers ages 6 and up. Beginner Group Swimming Lessons

The Community Center at Stuyvesant High School is offering this ten-class series, held on Sundays from September 28 through December 7, 2014, from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. Get comfortable getting in the water and learn important basic skills such as breathing, kicking on front and back, elementary treading and freestyle. Swimmers will need to bring a towel, goggles and a lock. Ages 6 - Adult.
