Advanced Group Swimming Lessons

Learn advanced skills such as the turns that link the four competitive strokes and the butterfly. All swimmers will need to bring a towel, a swim cap, goggles and a lock.

This ten-class series is held on each Sunday from January 4th-March 8th, 2015, 3:15-4:00 pm.

This class is open to swimmers ages 6 and up.

Intermediate Group Swimming Lessons

Learn intermediate swimming skills such as full underwater body rotations and the breast stroke. All swimmers will need to bring a towel, a swim cap, goggles and a lock. You can still register now and get a prorated fee for the remaining sessions. 

This ten-class series is held on each Sunday from January 4th through March 8th, 2015, 2:30-3:15 pm.

This class is open to swimmers ages 6 and up.

Tennis Lessons for Kids! Intermediate Level 1

Children are invited to join this intermediate level 1 tennis class taught by Tennis Pro Kim Champion. In this class, students go through an overall review of the basic fundamentals in addition to developing and successfully executing their groundstrokes while moving on the court, their Serves, and learning the game as a whole in which students learn the Rules and Scoring along with a Singles/Doubles game. Students also are introduced, and practice, specialty shots such as Drop shot, Slice, Overhead Smash, and the Lob. Safety and rules are emphasized throughout the class.

Kim Champion describes herself as a traditionalist. She believes that in teaching students the game of tennis there are 3 keys:
1- Core Footwork
2- Repetition
3- Fun (Teachers must make the learning process fun.)

BPCPC’s Community Center at Stuyvesant High School offers this class in a gymnasium where the weather is always pleasant. The series is five sessions. Please note: children need to bring their own raquet. Balls are provided. Call 646-210-4292 to register.

Tennis Lessons for Kids! Beginner, Level 2

Children are invited to join this advanced beginner tennis class taught by Tennis Pro Kim Champion. In this tennis class, students continue to develop their coordination skills and work more on refining their groundstrokes. They learn ready position, change of grips and practice on proper preparation for groundstrokes and consistency hitting. In addition, students are introduced to the Forehand and Backhand Volleys and the Serve. Safety procedures and rules are emphasized throughout the class.
