The Community Center at Stuyvesant High School’s beautiful half Olympic-sized swimming pool is Downtown Manhattan’s convenient and affordable way to beat the summer heat. Enjoy lap swimming and dedicated times for adults-only and family swim. Pool-Only Membership and Day Passes are available.
In July and August the Community Center offers Learn to Swim classes for youth and adults. All ages are welcome to learn a useful skill, get a lot of exercise and have fun! Classes are led by an American Red Cross certified CPR and Water Safety Instructor.
For Adults (Ages 18 & Up) Dedicated lap swimming every day. Monday-Friday 3pm-8:45pm, Saturday-Sunday 2:30pm-5:45pm. Open Swim Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-7pm, Saturday-Sunday 10am-2:30pm. Learn to Swim class for adults, Wednesday & Thursday, July 16 – Aug. 7 (9 Classes). Beginners: 6pm - 6:45pm, Beginners Advanced: 6:45pm - 7:30pm Class tuition is $198 for members, $225 for non-members.
For Adults, Teens and Youth (Ages 6 & Up) Dedicated lap swimming every day. Monday-Friday 3pm-8:45pm, Saturday-Sunday 2:30pm-5:45pm. Learn to Swim classes for ages 6 & up, Saturdays, July 19 – Aug. 16 (5 classes). Beginner: 11am - 11:45am, Beginner Advanced: 11:45am - 12:30pm, Intermediate: 12:30pm - 1:15pm, Advanced: 1:15pm - 2pm. Class tuition is $115 for members, $125 for non-members.
For Families (All Ages) Family Swim Friday 3pm-8:45pm, Saturday 10am-2:30pm, Sunday 10-2:30pm.

The Community Center at Stuyvesant High School is a partnership created by the City of New York, the NYC Department of Education, Battery Park City Parks Conservancy and the Battery Park City Authority. The Community Center offers recreation, classes and events for people of all ages and interests. The Community Center is open to the public evenings and weekends when school is not in session. Battery Park City Parks Conservancy (BPCPC) manages the Community Center at Stuyvesant High School, recreational, sports and arts programming in the parks, gardens and playing fields of Battery Park City.
